Peerless Subdivision
Bedford, Nova Scotia

Sandy and Judy Hines

Location: The area is located in Bedford Nova Scotia off the Hammonds Plains Road about 2 kms from the Sobeys Mall on the Bedford Hwy and about 15 kms to downtown Halifax.

Age of houses: In Peerless subdivision you can find homes that were built in the 1960's and 1970's and others that were built in the 1990's and even in 2000's. The reason for this is the area was on well and septic so the lots were large. When municipal water and sewer was put in the area many lots were subdivided and newer homes were built on the new lots. There are houses built in 2014 to present in attached subdivision of Thistle Grove.

Advantages: Nice friendly well established area with good value for your dollar. Larger lots that have municipal water and sewer. Quiet area that is a short drive to most amenities and yet feels like being in the country. Small subdivision of only a few short streets and less than 100 homes.

Style of housing available: All single family detached housing. Some have legal basement apartments. Mixture of older and newer homes. Several bungalows in the area but also a few of most other styles are seen in the area.

Some of the streets in subdivision: Lewis Drive, Olive, Estelle and Bernard

Schools: Bedford South(p-6), Rocky Lake Junior High School, C.P. Allen High School 10-12).
